How to upgrade firmware on US RNS-E?

technically yes you need the 2006 DVD to upgrade..

since you have a US unit, you simply insert the DVD and it will update automatically.. if you had an EU unit you would need to make a update disc which is discussed on this board..

the older 1a DVD will still work with the new software..

There is even a small chance that your friendly dealer has the software update on CD. The part number should start with 8P0 906 961 and an index letter, F was the Euro 0140, K was the US 0040 software. So the US 0110 software may be on a disk with an index > K, maybe M or N or so. If someone knows which index exactly, please post the part number here.

Interesting! Anyone know the part number to this upgrade CD? I wonder if it would be free of charge since it's a firmware upgrade.
