The RNS-E doesn't play DVD's - even when the car is stopped.

The only DVD the internal DVD drive can read is a map DVD - but it can play audio CD's (but not MP3 CD's or MP3 DVD's).

Even if you go with external DVD via Dietz 1417 adapter you can play your movies in motion with another module - Dietz 1280.

I have a follow up question...

I want to connect an external DVD player to my RNS-E via the tuner and all the Dietz adapters (1417 and 1280 if i remember it right) .

The plan is to have it in the glove comp, now finally the question...

How do I make it possible to play Audio CD's in the DVD player and listen to it from the RNS-E?

if you have the OEM TV tuner you will not need the Dietz 1417..

for video in motion you will need the Dietz 1280 (for A4/A3)..

to listen to audio CDs on your RNS-E you need a DVD player capable of playing CDs hooked up to either the OEM TV tuner or the 1417.. you do not need the 1280 to hear audio.. just the screen is blanked out when you are moving..
