This could be a dumb question. I searched the forums and didn't see a post with this topic.

Does anyone know if I could search for a Post Office "in the immediate vicinity" on an RNS-E??? Audi placed every single possible category of establishment in its POI menu except for a freakin post office.

Please let me know, thanks.

I don't think you've ever seen a Garmin or Pioneer Navigation system. With these systems, they were very smart with the mapping software. You would first pick a general PIO category then it allowed you to further filter the list by either selecting a specific chain or listing the restaurants by closest proximity (i.e., Food > Chinese > PF Changs > All local PF Changs sorted by closest location).

They could've easily collapsed the list of 50 or so POI categories into a list of 10 and then subcategories...instead they present you with a list of 50 categories and you have oddball entries like Casino, Racetrack and others. Oh how I WISH Garmin or Magellan was contracted to do the GPS software portion of the RNS-E....

Anyways I'm running the older 1A version of the DVD Disc, hopefully when I get 2A soon, it will allow me to find a freaking post office. I mean C'MON, this is my 3rd navi system and the only one that doesn't list out post offices as a separate POI category. Ugh...
