Whilst updating the software using the instructions shown here:

http://www.nav-plus.com/instructions/software.html

I have managed somehow to cancel the download, leaving the screen "SM Graphic system - Loading data..." showing and the progress bar frozen.

Having switched off and switched on again, the screen information display does not work, and the TV is on all the time when the unit is switched on, though the radio stations can be changed (but there is no display to show which station it is. Nothing happens when I press any of the navigation buttons.

Can anyone suggest how to solve this please?

Sorry to here you have problem with update....
Have you tried staring over with the update procedure? I am sure this should solve the problem.Dont forget you can try this as many times as you like..

It somehow cured itself, but I don't know how. I just left it for around 24 hourws. Then I switched it on and got a display message which suggested that it was rebooting - something about EEPROM. Then it started loading the updated software from the CD ROM and then everything went back to normal, but with the slight improvements from the update.
