so i was looking at the RNS-E adaptor i'm using and for the CDC:

and based on the following:

B. EXT Control Connector
RNS-E connections

2 - CDC-NF GND ---------------------------- Connector 1 – CD GND - Pin 18
4 - U14R-2 ----------------------------------- Connector 1 – CD +12V – Pin 16
6 - CDC-Data out --------------------------- Connector 1 – CD Data Out – Pin 14
7 - BOSE Pin -------------------------------- Connector 1 – GND – Pin 8
8 - CDC-NF links IN ------------------------- Connector 1– CD Left – Pin 19
9 - CDC-NF rechts IN ----------------------- Connector 1– CD Right – Pin 20
10 - U14 ST CDC ---------------------------- Connector 1– CD Acc – Pin 17
11 - CDC -Data IN --------------------------- Connector 1– CD Data In – Pin 13
12 - CDC- Data CLK ------------------------- Connector 1– CD Data CLK – Pin 15

C: EXT Control Connector
8 - Line Out GND ---------------------------- Connector 1 – CD GND – Pin 10
it looks like i'm just missing the CD GND connection... on the Connector #1 (red one), the pin #10 has no wire...

however i've already got a wire in the pin #8 of the Connector C - EXT Control, which i' assuming is the one i should use for the GND connection...
*edited (it didn't make sense at all... )*
that wire goes back to the pin #3 of the Connector #1, and it's the wire of the speaker GND...

so my quesiton... should i just tape that wire?

TIA!

well i had already looked at it and it's where i got that from:

C: EXT Control Connector
8 - Line Out GND ---------------------------- Connector 1 – CD GND – Pin 10
well actually i assumed that what you meant by:

Additional For CD changer - Connector 1 – CD GND – Pin 10 to Connector 3 - Pin 8
was to say that the Connector 3 was the Connector C - EXT Control (???)...

or were you actually refering to the same Connector 3 as the one i labelled as #3 in the pic above???

now i'm totally confused...

i'm gonna need to have another look at my wires/connectors, but i'm pretty sure that the pin #8 of the Connector C - EXT Control is already occupied...

sorry... :? ... i'm still confused here...

where does the GDN pin 10 of the connector #1 go to on the RNS-E adaptor then, connector A, B, C or D? or does it not even go to that adaptor?

i thought i had that figured out but i guess not...

btw where do you guys source the wires/pins from?
wait...

are you saying that the wire to pin 10 of the connector #1 goes to the pin 8 of the connector #3??? :?

i guess that would make sense since on the Audi Nav+ Information Site[/u] that pin 8 of the connector #3 is listed as "ground"...

so if that's the case, can i just run a wire from the pin 8 of connector #3 to the ground wire of the CDC? unless someone can tell me where to get connectors/pins...[/code][/flash]
