Getting SD card music to play in album order?

2539 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  PetrolDave
I broke down and finally got a 1gb SD card and put some music on it. Its actually pretty neat considering I don't have to take my Phatbox DMS inside and take forever just to load a couple albums.

Anyways, I wanted to know that when I put an album on the SD card. How do I get it to show up in the actual albums track order rather than alphabetical order?

Do I need to put them on there as an .m3u file?

Todd,
have you given in...to the darkside? Don't give up on your Pbox!!!! Stick with the pbox...and embrace the voiceprompts. Having the song/artist labels isn't all that grand. Ha!!!!
I usually rip CDs with Media Player, let it name the files like 01-title1.mp3, 02-title2.mp3, ... and set the RNS-E to show the MP3 info instead of the file name. This way I don't need to maintain playlists, keep the original order and see the title in the RNS-E and DIS.

No way, I'm using it to put just BRAND NEW music on until I get them time to put them onto the Phatbox. Or if someone has a CD or some music I like I'll just copy it over onto the SD card temporarily "and then I'll go buy the CD!"

Plus, I've got a 100gb DMS for my Phatbox. I'm not sure if this has been talked about on the forums here. But do people know here you can now add your own hard drive the the Phatbox DMS?

I used to do the same but it annoyed me having 3 of the 8 characters on the DIS taken up with 2 numbers and a space - so I use playlists now, and get 8 usable characters on the DIS!

But, sometimes when I get back in the car it finishes playing the current track and goes back to the first entry on the (alphabetically) first playlist. Anyone got any idea why this is happening?
