Ok, I have a 2007 Q7 4.2 premium, I really want these head lights and tail lights. I'm trying to sum up the information in this thread to what I will need. I have no intentions of putting a S-line bumper on. so - Are these the parts I will need?

pricing from
GENUINEAUDIPARTS.COM or worldimpex

$360.72

Front turn signals?
4L0 953 041 D

I'm not sure what the below part numbers are exactly?

$1586 ?? - only worldimpex has these listed...way pricey!
4L0 941 029 AG + 4L0 941 030 AG for the Left hand traffic

for the bixenon with cornering light

4L0 941 029 AD + 4L0 941 030 AD for the Right hand traffic

$1874 each ???only worldimpex has these listed...way pricey!
** I'd really like to know what the above 8 part numbers are exactly...
Is the entire assembly for the headlamp in seperate parts? top part, big bottom part, side part? that would explain all these part numbers...

mountings for main beam headl.
4L0 941 613 A + 4L0 941 614 A

Yes you are right except for the headlights. You need the US version of new bixenon so here what the part numbers should be:
4L0 941 029 AK + 4L0 941 030 AK Standard Bixenon US Design
4L0 941 029 AL + 4L0 941 030 AL Headlamp for curve lighting US Design....(In Europe we haven't the red corner on the headlights).
You are forgetting the Led REAR lights part number wich are:
4L0 945 093 G + 4L0 945 094 G
Finally I replaced the fog lights in front but if you don't change the bumper you don't need them and about the rear lights on the bottom of the bumper nothing was changed.

a4ssabt - how in the world do you know all this??????
I have Alldata, Elsawin, Etka, the works! and you are amazing!
Seriously? Do you work for the dealer over there? No....wait...you must be sleeping with the daughter of the guy who owns VW :) be honest now! We won't judge you :)

ok, so to confirm:
drop all of these part numbers:
4L0 941 029 AC+ 4L0 941 030 AC for the Right hand traffic
4L0 941 029 AG + 4L0 941 030 AG for the Left hand traffic
for the bixenon with cornering light
4L0 941 029 AD + 4L0 941 030 AD for the Right hand traffic
4L0 941 029 AH + 4L0 941 030 AH for the Left hand traffic.

and for the usa version, use these part numbers for the headlights:
4L0 941 029 AK + 4L0 941 030 AK or curved design headlamps: 4L0 941 029 AL + 4L0 941 030 AL
I get to choose either the standard or curved above right?
Does the curved design fit differently? How can I confirm my 2007 q7 4.2 premium will fit them?

and rear lights part numbers:
4L0 945 093 G + 4L0 945 094 G

question 1: if i understand what you are saying, i doin't need the cornering lights or the cornering power module? Which means I don't need 2x 76L 941 329 A
question 2: did you replace the lower strip of lights on the rear bumper? if so, which of the above part numbers are those?! lol
question 3: I get to choose either the standard or curved above right?
question 4: Does the curved design fit differently? How can I confirm my 2007 q7 4.2 premium will fit them?

Finally you have discovered my secret: I'm sleeping with the daughter of the VW owner :D:D:D and I read ETKA every night before to sleep:D:D:D
answering to your question number:
1° Yes if you buy the standard headlights you don't need 2x776L 941 329 A. Those lights are called Adaptive here but honestly on the Q7 version there is only an halogen lamp which start to work when you turn the wheels but the Bixenon is always in a fixed position. I was used with my A8 Adaptive lights where the bixenon was turning with the wheels so I didn't choosed the cornering lights too.
2° I didn't replace any strip of lights on the rear bumper I replaced only the Tail Lights on the rear lid

3°4° sorry but I don't understand what you mean for curved design can you explain better?

Ps: I have some little problems on the new led turn lights probably due to a coding issue....any help wil be apreciated:oops:

Here some pictures of my new Q7;-) really it seems to be new also with the 20" rims with the winter tyres. My body painter has painted by fault the lower part of new S-line bumber:evil: I have to correct it tomorrow and I need also the left fog light grille because I received 2 right ones:evil:
Anyway the car looks good a part for the front turn lights with led which are flashing randomly due to the old 09 Central Electronics unit probably or to a coding fault....I really don't understand. It seems that the 09 send a low voltage signal to the lights just to check them. Now with the new led turn lights that low voltage signal can switch on them for a second doing the flashing.

It looked like the below were 2 seperate options - either a standard bixenon headlight design, or a curved headlight design right? I can choose either set of the two options below? Or for the usa, do I need all 4 part numbers below?
4L0 941 029 AK + 4L0 941 030 AK Standard Bixenon US Design
4L0 941 029 AL + 4L0 941 030 AL Headlamp for curve lighting US Design....(In Europe we haven't the red corner on the headlights).

No you have to choose between the AK if you want the standard ones or the AL if you want the headlamps for curve lighting. It's all and if you go for the AL you will need also the 2 X 7L6 941 329 A power modules.;-)

The "G" version of Tail Lights is for US market, I used 4L0 945 093 -094 "F" for my eu-car.
Comfort module 4L0 910 289 H needed for new rear leds to work is one and it has to be correctly coded as described in my previous post here.
For the new front led turn signal the "D" version is for the standard bumper and the "E" version only for the S-Line bumper.
For the front turn-signal lights is mandatory to change the old connectors with a pair of 8K0 973 703 (3 pin)

Hi, many thanks for your kind assistance. Not sure whether it Asia's Right Hand Drive Q7 are the same as Euro's LED tail light 4L0 945 093-094 F? Also did a check with eBay, German supplier say it will work with their special comfort controller module - just plug and play, need no re-coding.

Same time ordered a pair of new LED head light from eBay, it comes with;
2 x LED headlights bucket with all wiring and LEDs light
2 x Bi-Xenon HID lamps, ballast & bulb (non-adaptive/curve type)

What other parts are needed for this to work on my 07 Q7?
a - mountings for main beam 4L0 941 613 A + 4L0 941 614 A?
b - control unit for xenon lamp 2 X 8K0 941 597 B? Is this Ballast? Not required if the package come with ballast module build-in?
c - power Module for cornerings light 2 x 76L 941 329 A? Not required, mine is non-adapter/curve type package?
e - vent hose 4L0 941717 + 4L0 941718
f - Re-coding of J519 / 4F0 910 279 K?

Thanks again. ;-)

Yes you need the new mountings for main beam the vent hose and the recoding plus the bridged pins on the J519(please read from the beginning of my thread) or a new J 519 if you prefer. The ballast are the control units 2 X 8K0 941 597 B and the power modules for cornering are not required.

Doors trim panels lights bar

Another very important retrofit to do for my personal taste(when you're are used to travel with an A8 certain comfort become mandatory) it was the lights bars on the four doors trim panels. On the facelift 2010 Q7 you can have the interior additional lighting so I looked on Etka where I found these parts for less than 50 euro:

4L0 919 173 light bar left front PR -QQ1
4L0 919 174 light bar right front
4L0 919 177 light bar left front
4L0 919 178 light bar right front

I had to ask to a friend to mill the liners just to insert the the light bars and finally getting a good result almost like the original.

With the new lights the night atmosphere on board is really smart.
Here some pictures which not do justice but tomorrow il will take new shots with the right camera.

PS.The 42-52-62-72 Door controllers had to be recoded adding +32

Hello, New to this forum. A lot of really good info on this forum. I'm also looking to convert my 07 Q to the face lifted headlights and turn signal. Right now can't find anyone local who will even consider doing the conversion. (dealerships etc ) So going to start slow and do the led turn signals first my self. Had a question on how to connect the wiring for the turn signals two to three prong connector and what do you do with the parking lights/wiring. Thanks

As described before you have to change the old 2 pins connector with the the new 8K0 973 703 for the led turn signals and the actual parking light wiring will be used in the future with the new headlights to power the led day-light (actually will be not used).

Yes the entire door trim has to be removed for every door and the connection has to be made to the door control units on the 32pin connector D pin 8 for the front doors and 16pin connector C pin 3 for the rear doors for the positives ones and the negatives to the common ground point (brown wire)
