Now I know this doesn't apply to all but I thought I would share.

With the addition of a PhatNoise and TV tuner to the back of my A4 (B5) I quickly ran out of space in the factory holder. I still have a 12volt PC and a Playstation to think about. The tool kit takes up very valuable space but I think it is a necessary component.

I found a tool kit from an A3 on EBay recently. I bought it for about $10.00 never been used. Cost me about $80 for shipping though from England. It has all the same items as the A4 but it is mounted in the spare tire well. It fits under the spare tire. It's a round hard foam case with a plastic lid. It has all types of space for other items but I have no idea what else could come in an Audi tool kit.

Now I have gained some free space and have a spare tool kit....

Sorry been busy the last bit and gone for another week starting Monday. Wish I got to live in the place I'm renting....

I was looking through the parts catalogue and found that this item may be available through the local dealer. There are different parts depending on if you have the towing ball?? I guess they alter it for room for stowing it. The base part is: 4B5 012 112A and the lid is 8D9 012 116.

Run those by the parts guy and see what you come up with.
I'll try and take a pic by the weekend.
