Several have posted the question whether or not you can use the Euro DVD with a US RNS-E. The answer is below:

The good thing is that all you have to do is open alldata.kwi from the Euro DVD and change the following strings (the are all at the very beginning of alldata.kwi):
- "AFEU" to "AFUS"
- "AGEU" to "AGUS"
- "EU A-Format" to "US A-Format"
The biggest issue will be to modify the 3.1Gbytes alldata.kwi. Search the forum for details on how to do this, the process is the same as described for the US DVD but all you have to do is to modify alldata.kwi, not the other files mentioned.
This will give you access to the navigation portion of your RNS-E. However, you won't get TMC/TP or better FM/AM reception. You may also expirience the "missing street syndrom" or be unable to enter certain locations.
And last but not least, do not get the 2005_1 Euro DVD, stay with 2005 or older (part number "C" or "B"). The 2005_1 DVD will require updated software and this trick may not work.
Have fun...
