The RNS-E goes into an "almost-on" mode when unlock the car - so that it starts up quicker.todd1010 said:The reason I ask is that my car hasn't been started in several hours. Since I just installed the unit 3 days ago, I haven't fully finished with the face plate modifications. So anyways I went out just to get the model number and I heard a fan running on the RNS-E? Like I said I haven't started the car in hours, so should it be running like this?
It also goes into this mode for about 30 minutes after you lock the car.
So the fan you hear is normal behaviour.
