DIS display information

I just installed a RNS-E euro into my US 01.5 S4 (B5). This unit is awesome, so much better than my COMAND system in my MB. Everything works just fine and I'm loving it.

Yesterday, while tinkering with the NAV, I played a SD card with MP3s. My DIS (while on the compass screen) for a brief moment, displayed the song title on the second line as I shut off the car. I turned the car on real quick again to see if the song title would appear, but no, nothing, just "MP3" was displayed on the top line as usual. Is there something wrong with my DIS or is this normal? Should the DIS display the song title when playing MP3s with a SD card? I tried shutting the car off again to see if the song displayed and sure enough, it did. Anyway to make the song title stay?

If you are on the compass view, the DIS will only display 'MP3'. If you go back to the "standard" DIS view, then the song title (or first 8 characters of it) is displayed.

The reason why the song title flashes when you turn off your engine is propably because the DIS switches at the same time from the compass view back to the standard view.

TRUE

you can cycle from the compass view to the standard view with the reset button on the bottom of the stalk (just like cycling from mode "1" to mode "2")

or you can turn off the compass view completely by pressing NAV, then SETUP and scroll down to compass view and un-check the box..
