probably a loose connection.
dietz 1417 Screen sometimes flashes "TV Not Installed"
hello gang I've been having this problem ever since installing my Dietz 1417 and ME3. It come up for at most 2 seconds, and then the video will come back, and it only happens once in awhile, so its not a terrible problem. please help thanks

several people (including myself) have reported having this problem.. no real solution has ever been posted, but i have not had the problem in months..
as teddy said, it is most likely a loose wire..
Dietz adapter can be a bit flaky.. for other quirks, disconnecting the power for bit helped..
