yes you either need to cut the wires in the adapter or pull the pins and rewire the adapter..

There are two CAN high and two CAN low wires on the system. Kinda confused as to how exactly to install them into the system. Read all over, but no one explains it or has any good pictures from the system to the wire splice on the RNS-E. It says, "The interface has to be connected in serial to teh CAN bus wires. Therefore the CAN bus has to be cut through and connected with PIN 1,2,5,6." PINs 1,5 are the CAN high and PINs 2,6 are the CAN low. If anyone can tell me how they want to wire it, or have a picture, that would be greatly appreciated.
