Hello all, this is my first post.

I am sure this has been asked but I got a definite no answer to adding Navi to my car from the dealer. I have an 04 A4 with Bose and a Symphony double din stereo, and steering wheel controls but only volume, seek, and preset change. I want to add the NaviPlus (the one with the map) but i want it to work like it came from the factory. I.E. I want the dash cluster display to work, steering wheel controls, etc. I have read that this can this be done? If so, where can I buy the parts and can I do it myself? I emailed another member that sells these units but never got a response. Please help.

Your dealer ir right, he won't be able to do this. The only reason for that is that the adapters you need are not available from Audi and Audi doesn't approve retrofitting the RNS-E. That being said, it is very well possible and probably done in less than an hour in you 04 A4.

Read this http://www.navplus.us/forum/viewtopic.php?t=848 and then spend some time reading the Quick Links, especially the A4 B6 section...

Your dealer is an idiot (I'm not afraid to use that word).
I just hate when they say "you can't" instead of "we don't do it" or "I don't know". Unfortunately most of the dealers have minimal knowledge of our cars. And I'm not talking about retrofits etc., but regular Audi service. In December one of my coilpacks failed and dealer ask me to keep my car for 2 days

Coilpack replacement is 10 minutes (if you playing piano with one hand)

Just read this forum and you will know that it is easy and possible.

... I just installed a RNS-E "J" last weekend in my 04 Bose A4.. takes 10 min to install and it is a very "factory" install... so as others have said.. it is VERY doable. I find that most of the write-ups on this page are for conversions of complicated installs... for the most part... it is much eaiser than it sounds.
