I purchased a new cluster, part # 8E0 920 981 N from ebay. It is a new color DIS cluster for an A4. I want to put this into my 2003 A4 1.8TQM. I understand there may be issues with generation III and IV immobilizers. Does anyone know if this cluster will work in my car?
I understand also that a dealer needs to recode the unit with the ignition keys as well. I am in the Chicago area. Does anyone know a dealer in the area that is competent to do this recoding?

You can try continental audi. Ask for Tim Raad.
I don't believe the cluster will work, its a B7 cluster, I tried it and it didn't work.
