I'm preparing for the RNS-E install and trying to work out if I currently have CAN signals at the unit.

However the Concert diagram here http://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/63403.phtml doesn't show CAN L or R?

Is it labelled differently?

Multi - pin connector I, 20 - pin
1- Line out, rear left
2- Line out, rear right
3- Audio frequency Ground
4- Line out, front left
5- Line out, front right
6- Switched positive supply
8- Clock signal for radio frequency display on instrument cluster
9- Data signal for radio frequency display on instrument cluster
10- Enable signal for radio frequency display on instrument cluster
11- Remote control (steering wheel)
13- Data - in signal for CD display on instrument cluster
14- Data - out signal for CD display on instrument cluster
15- Clock signal for CD display on instrument cluster
16- Permanent positive connection
17- Switched positive supply for CD changer
18- Ground connection for CD changer (CD audio frequencies, Ground)
19- Signal wire for left channel (CD audio frequencies, left)
20- Signal wire for right channel (CD audio frequencies, right)

Thanks, Rich

Can would be present on 7 & 12 and you do not have them listed.

Thanks, does this mean there are never any CAN feeds to the concert unit?

Or that the CAN feeds may or may not be there but just not listed on teh concert diagram?

It's because the concert is using these wires for cluster

8- Clock signal for radio frequency display on instrument cluster
9- Data signal for radio frequency display on instrument cluster
10- Enable signal for radio frequency display on instrument cluster

If your cluster has the 3 connectors, grey, blue & green you can run can from the cluster to the radio and populate 7 & 12.

I also have a 2000 B5 S4, I don't think you need the wire from the cluster on a 2000. I have RNS-E working w/ out the cluster re-wiring. Make sure that you have the unit coded properly.

Thanks for the tip. I will code it today, I plugged it in yesterday to test and Bose/sound worked with no modifications.
