CD chager part number for RNS-E F version

Does anyone know the part numbers of the CD changers that will work along with the RNS-E F version.

From my reading on this forum it seems that only some changers will work with the EU unit while others will only work with the US unit.

Thanks.

I don't have the exact part number for the "F" RNS-E but I wouldn't bother trying to retrofit the CD changer. The changer, glovebox and harness costs you probably about $700-$900, just to get 6 CDs. You can get about 4 2GB SD cards for the same money, incl. USB reader, each with more than 6 CDs ripped at very high quality. Plus you get artist and song title from SD but not CD. If you really have the need to play an audio CD, just use the DVD drive to listen to it. If you like it while you get home, rip it to SD and put the Navi DVD back in. Just my 2 cents...
Here's a scenario where that doesn't work.

You're at a concert in a strange town where there make a live CD of the concert and give it to you on the way out (OK you have to wait 10 minutes).

You really enjoyed the concert and you are desperate to listen to the CD on the way back to your hotel - a hotel that you've never been to before in a city you've never been to before so you need your sat nav working to get there.

So you need to leave your nav DVD in the RNS-E AND be able to play a CD at the same time - so you need a CD changer.

Just in case anyone thinks this is a scenario I've made up - it was us at a Simply Red concert last Monday!!!

And before you ask - yes I DO normally use SD cards (I've got 2 1GB I use every day and a 4GB on order), but when I buy a CD I want to listen to it NOW, not wait until I get home!

That's what we called live... Lots of GIVEs and TAKEs!
In that particular situation, I'd take out my bluetooth GPS receiver and put it on the dash. Then pull out my PDA/Phone (Audiovox VX6600) and use the excellent CoPilot Live (http://www.alk.com/) to find my way. That's still a lot cheaper than $700-$900.

I'm really looking forward to getting my RNS-E working, but CoPilot has been helping me find my way for four years.

Once you get your RNS-E working you might think differently ... it's so much better than the Navman iCN650 that I used to use (that's gathering dust in a cupboard at home now).
