Can't believe this... Never noted before, but... (also TV q)

... it seems to me there is no way of using the NAV function ALONE if you have the CD Changer full and the SD Card slots full or with at least one song in one of the two...

I mean:

is there any way of having the NAV just route to the destination, giving directions, BUT with all other audio-medias OFF ???

I know I can lower down the volume to almost zero, but it's not like having them completely OFF...

I have tried looking around and tried looking at the manual too, but found no positive answer to this...

Anyone ?

Thanks for the suggestions...

BTW: how to be able to watch the TV while moving ? May I VAG-COM it or should I use an adapter on the connected cables ? ;-) This is for my daughter to see cartoons... ;-)

A CD recorded with silence in slot 6 or mp3 with no sound in it.

As for the TV, see the multimedia section.

I personally think this is really something someone in Ingolstadt forgot about...

This is not something done as it should... I should still have the chance not to use any AUDIO beside the NAV functions...

Fortunately the PHONE can be off to use the NAV... Think of having it ON LINE while using the NAV...

Any other solution ? A firmware update in the future ? :?

Ciao

You need a box that interrupts the speed signals (a switch on a C5 A6 or a CAN filtering box from Dietz on a B6 A4) to prevent the screen blanking when moving effect.

If you're using the NAV at the same time then the NAV position update will be slower too - hence why it should be switchable (plus being able to show that nice police officer that it can't have distracted you...)
