I'm curious as to what the 5th digit is doing?

I've only seen options for :
1-no phone
5-Telematics Europe
6-Telematics US

What shoud mine be on? I have my RNS-E in a B5 S4.

Note that all the mobile phone preps need the OEM phone interface. If you code them in the RNS-E but don't have the interface installed you will see an error.

So I would guess that when my OEM Sirius Tuner gets installed I need to change that 6th digit from a "1" to a "3", correct?

Or would that even matter since I'm making myself a custom wiring harness thru the CD changer plug in my B5 S4 and the getting the CAN signals from the back of the RNS-E?

Whether you use the OE harness or a custom one makes no difference - after all you're still connecting the same wires to the same places!
