Back up DVD for personal use

I'll appreciate your help on this. Today I was quite surprised when trying to back-up and discover the original DVD was ~7GB!!

I use RNS-E and the 2005 version of Western Europe Road Map

Thank for the info Craig, it looks still quite complicate to get a back-up done, and people from NAVTEQ in Spain sent me to the car dealer to get any "back-up". Good busine$$ they have....

I'll look for any friend with a DL DVD Writer and try to get it done. I'll post any results.
