If the cluster is CAN enabled and properly coded the navi info should show up in the same way as on any other red DIS. Only if you have a 3 wire cluster (data/clock/enable) and need to used some CAN emulator to get the ignition/light/speed signals converted to CAN your cluster won't show anything (not even radio/cd).

Yes, it will work in a 2000 S4 (that is what I have). You will need to change one value with a VAG COM, but that is it. The display will show CD/Radio information (as with the Symphony headunit), and will also show navigation information when route guidance is on (or all the time if you turn the compass setting on). Hope that helps.

Can u kindly advise more detail?

Tks.
Here you go. Just recode the instrument cluster accordingly, and the information from the RNS-E (radio/CD, navigation info, etc) will appear.

STG 17 (Instrument cluster) -> Adaptation -> Function 10 -> Channel 62
+01 - Radio
+02 - Telephone
+04 - Navigation
+08 - Telematics

So, for example, if you have want the radio and navigation information displayed, you will want to code channel 62 to be "5" (1+4).

Hope that works for you.

VAG comm offers an additional choice for coding

STG 17 (Instrument cluster) -> Adaptation -> Function 10 -> Channel 62
+01 - Radio
+02 - Telephone
+04 - Navigation
+08 - Telematics
+16 - Instrumentation

VAG comm has a floating box of coding options for this, and adds the +16 option. I think I've coded mine at 29, or 31 and everything works fine.
