I had factory nav do you think that is why wire is present? I was going to cut it and see if any difference seems no one else has seen CAN at cluster before (pins 5 and 6 i think) on B5 S4.

any thoughts thanks?

I'm dealing with this right now. I have my car all taken apart, and I've discovered that I have wires (orange/purple and orange/brown) connected to pins 5 and six in the cluster. The car has the DIS-only nav installed. Does anyone know if this is the problem?

This is a U.S. spec 2001 S4 B5 Avant with factory nav and phone prep.

how does this change the install?

I have a 2002 b5s4 with factory nav. Does this change the install/upgrade to RNS-E?
