Aux heater fan runs all the time

I recently bought a 08 Q7 3,0TDI and in the VCDS I could not get any connections with
the auxiliary heater, fault code 01207 004 no signal/communication, checked the fuse and it was blown, replaced it with a new one and the auxiliary fan started immediately and does not stop, can’t get any connections with the control module now either so only way to stop it is by removing the fuse….

It is only the fan that starts, no combustion at all, just cold air coming from the exhaust pipe…

Does anybody know what the problem could be…

at least in my car the auxiliary heater is electric, I'm not sure what you mean by "combustion" or "exhaust"? I do know that US models of my car (2014 A5 2.0T) had a product defect recall about the auxiliary heater back about 5+ years ago. It was a fire risk, and before the repair parts became available we were advised to select-off the aux heater in the MMI control screen.

I think there is a fault with he control module in the auxiliary heater since I don’t get an communication with
it in VCDS…..

The thing is that the auxiliary heater fan start as soon as i put back the fuse for it and nothing else happening,
no flame/combustion only the fan starts, I have to pull out the fuse to make it stop, maybe the dosing pump or water pump that is stuck…

I have bought a used auxiliary heater witch i will try when I receive it, hopefully this will work…
@ETS if you are talking about a device which burns fuel not inside the engine, to add heat to the car interior, I've never heard of that being available in the USA in Audis. Those disappeared with the likes of the 1960s Chevrolet Corvair and VW Microbus.

I think this was only available in Europe on these cars and not an option in USA, don’t know why…

I'm pretty sure it's because Audi sold only a tiny sliver % of its vehicles in USA as diesels, and zero since the scandal. Diesels, burning so much less fuel at idle and low power, and having more massive engines (by weight), do not warm up nearly as fast as gasoline ones.
