I checked yesterday with my Audi dealer on his Etka.
193 G was not on the list of available parts... strange
8P0 035 193G is the newest RNS-E coming in MY2011 A3 and A3 cab. No SDS.
8P0 035 193H is the SDS equivalent.
8P0 035 193F is the NA equivalent without SDS.

8J0 035 193D for TT 2011 no SDS
8J0 035 193E for TT 2011 with SDS
8J0 035 193F for TT 2011 in NA no SDS

For R8 the RNS-E still seems to have the 192 ending.
423 035 192G R8 2011 without phone prep. Left hand steering wheel.
423 035 192J R8 2011 with phone prep. Left hand steering wheel.
424 035 192F R8 2011 without phone prep. Right hand steering wheel.
424 035 192G R8 2011 with phone prep. Right hand steering wheel.
And then there is a 423 035 192H, which seems to be for R8 2010-> for NA

All this according to ETKA.

The 423 G & J options are already listed as 2010 models.

I'm puzzled when you say "with phone prep" and "without phone prep" - phone prep is not part of the RNS-E, do you mean SDS?

No that's the thing. I mean Phone-prep. I found it very odd too.
Without Phone prep = PR-9W0 & PR-9ZD
With Phone prep = PR-9ZF & PR-9ZX

It says nothing about SDS.

According to this, there's now a 193AX version for North America http://www.ebay.ca/itm/OEM-Audi-A3-..._Audio_Video&hash=item45fd2227bb#ht_500wt_922
I actually checked that unit in person, because the seller is local. It is pre-2010 unit, it was made in 2008 and has a part number 8PO 035 193 without any letters, however on the box it also has letter AX. X does not necessarily mean that unit is refurbished. I already have seen some units when box has X on part number, but unit itself does not. I think when you order from Audi they all come with X on the box

Maybe Audi have redefined the meaning of the X suffix then? - it always used to mean it was a refurbished unit.

Maybe now it just means it was supplied as a part and not fitted on the production line?

Audi still uses X for any other part as far as I know, it might be only with rns-e, since the unit is too new and maybe they dont have refurb units yet.

X does not mean refurbished. X means "exchange", i.e. you have to return your old (broken) part to them. As you can see, parts with X has a lower price than those without.

I wouldn't trust what is written on the lid of any RNS-E unit for sale as there are many many units with reprinted lids, swapped lids, swapped face plates etc. Until you plug it in and VAG it to see what it actually is inside I would not be too certain about what you are buying.
