I ordered an RSN-E unit, and it came with the complete B6/B7 wiring harness. Unfortunately, I need the harness to connect it to a 2000 (B5) S4. If anyone would like to buy the harness I have, or trade me a B5 harness for it, please contact me. Thanks.

If you have the B6 adapter you may be able to change the pins for your B5. AFAIK, the plugs are the same but the wiring is different. If you take the Symphony I wiring plan on your radio and compare it to the Symphony II plan, you should be able to figure out which pins need to be changed. You will need to extend the CAN-high and CAN-low as well as the v wire to your instrument cluster but all the other signals should be in the existing connectors.

By looking at those diagrams, I am wondering whether or not I am wrong in thinking that I have a B6 harness afterall. Here is a picture of the harness I have. Will this work with my 2000 S4? If not, what model does this adapter work with? Thanks for the help.

You can only check plugs to see which wires are different. Your adapter is at least for a non-Bose system with CD changer. Look at the diagrams and locate the Symphony II CAN-HI wire, check your adapter on the radio side (black plug) and see if the wire is there. If not it may be a Symphony I adapter.
