Anyone installed new A3 Nav Plus RNS-E DVD on 2001 Audi S3??

Hi,

I've seen a Audi Navigation plus RNS-E DVD system (Part no 8P0 035 192 C) for new A3 advertised on ebay.

I was wondering if it would be possible to retrofit this to a 2001 model Audi S3?

I spoke to Audi and they said it could be done with a new dashboard at about 6000 quid. Doesn't seem quite worth it.

Anyone done it cheaper?

I fittet an RNS-E from a Audi A6 in my Audi A2. I didnt had an Dashboard with 2 Radioslots (Doppeldin), so i had to use an Dremel. I also had to buy a new klimacontrol. Pictures you could find in the German Audi A2 Club Board and Galery. See here an here.
