False. The unit for the A3 (8P) has a faceplate which will not fit the A4 (B6), nor will the A6 (C5) unit fit. I would not recommend to start modifying the faceplate (unless you plan to install an A6 unit in an A4 B5). If you don't mind, electrically the A3 unit will work in an A4.
