To save having to buy the Audi 3370 tool that is basically just a flat blade with a bent section at the end - used to remove the trim around the center console switches on B6/B7 A4/S4/RS4 - does anyone have a proven alternative using standard workshop tools?

I need to get the trim off so I can replace a blank with a switch.

P.S. anyone also know what the p/n # is for the pins to connect to the switches?

Just get a little hook tool or something similar. I got a set of four different picks and hooks for about $10 at the local tool store.

The repair wires for the switches are 000-979-009, same as RNS-E connectors B and C. I have more info on the switches if you need it (wire housings, etc).

I thought they were the RNS-E B & C connectors when I tried one yesterday.

Thanks for the idea about tools, I've got to go to MachineMart today anyway.
