I recently left my car sitting for 2 weeks. While I was gone the weather changed from very warm to very chilly. Well I get back to the car and the car starts up first time and no dead battery but I had a check engine light. The code is:

VAG-COM Version: Release 607.2-UD

Control Module Part Number: 8E0 959 655 K
Component and/or Version: Airbag 8.4EP 1001
Software Coding: 0010607
Work Shop Code: WSC 63351
1 Fault Found:
00588 - Airbag Igniter; Driver Side (N95)
002 - Lower Limit Exceeded - Intermittent - MIL ON

Now I did replace my B6 wheel & airbag with a B7 wheel & airbag. I made the wiring harness changes a couple months ago and everything has been fine. Why do you think my airbag light was on?

I also got these codes that when I was changing out the steering wheel I had to recode the ABS module. So I'm not sure what's up with these. They look a little different than any other fault codes I've seen, see the way they are laid out.

clear it and check if it comes again.
I had the same problem once or twice...but it is gone at least for now.
I know all airbag wiring is fine because it is soldered so my second guess is voltage inconsistency for airbag. But this is could be pretty much anything (I changed too many things to diagnose it quickly :D)

I did clear it but it just seemed weird that after the car was just sitting there the light would come on like that. But you just never know with an Audi.
