I installed my new RNS-E in my almost new A4 3.0TDI yesterday and tested it today on a business trip.

I was very very pleased to notice that the RNS-E can use the service of several Radio stations where they send the location of police speedtraps over TMC.

There were 2 mobile speedtraps on my route today and both times the RNS-E started warned me 3 times before I reached the location. (About 40 kilometers ahead, about 5 kilometers ahead and about 1 kilometer before I reached the Speedtrap) The location was very accurate. A very helpful feature that I have not found in any of the documentation.

(BTW these are TMS messages on the Dutch radio network)

Here in Germany they won’t supply the speed trap. I guess, in Holland they are much further and more qualm with those things. What was the name of tha Channel?
On my PDA Navigation I had the speed trap alarm. This was very useful.

And, as has been mentioned several times before on this forum, TMC doesn't work on the RNS-E in the UK.

Audi UK won't pay the fee to the operator ITIS.

P.S. TMC does work on the RNS-D in the UK!

hi, I drive through Belgium often and yes you'll have the TMC option in Belgium working. Especially in the region 'Vlaanderen' it's very common. In Belgium they give a lot of information by TMC. In Holland they only give the traffic jams, but in Belgium they also give info about road works, accidents etc. ("Attention. In 1 KM right lane closed", or ' attention. In 2 km's accident').
Giving info about police checkpoints depends on the country. In Holland some radio stations combine the info about police checkpoints from listeners (you can call a 0900nr when you see a checkpoint) with TMC. It's simple: the checkpoint has a location, and they give that spot a TMC flag with content 'police checkpoint'. Your RNS-E is combining this info with you route and will warn you when you reach it. I don't know wether Belgium has radio stations which facilitate this. When so: you don't need to actually listen to this station to receive this info: just give in the prefered station for your TMC info on your Nav+.
