Just a few questions before I proceed... I read through the thread again, but I just want to double check some stuff.

1. grey Telephone Mute Connector D11
2. yellow K-Line D5
3. black with yellow stripe Can-Low D9
4. black with white stripe Can-High D10

The Red wire goes to the fuse box and the brown wire goes to ground?

What is the most functional coding at this point?

I got everything installed I guess.

I am able to pair with my Treo 650. I get sound through the speakers, but the RNS-E says Telephone Not Installed.

The only way I can talk to the telephone module with the VAG com is with the K line connected.

Have you recoded the RNS-E yet? Once I coded mine for the proper telephone (I believe it is "6" for US) it switched from "Telephone Not Installed" to the voice commands list. Hope that helps :)
Yeah, I was able to change to 6. Now it just says Use Cell Phone. :(
i'm stuck w/ the "Telephone is not installed" screen too... the phone, a Motorola V557, has found the "Audi UHV 8237" bluetooth device... i can hear the phone connecting to the device through the speakers but that's about it... cannot do anything else...

my RNS-E is coded 0301611... software for the Nav is US110...

i got my harness through TeddyB...

thoughts?
What is the part number of your phone interface? How is it coded?
p/n: 8P0 862 335 B

coding: 0010777

i'm sitting in the car waiting for something to happen going to the archives but not having any luck...

whenever i check the coding the phone loses the bluetooth connection and get it back once i close the VAG module...
well i just talked to Ted via the bluetooth module/RNS-E... yet i still have the "Telephone is not installed" screen...
alright nevermind it's working now... i guess i needed to take the key off the ignition and let it sit there for a while... :D
I have seen that after coding the phone interface for HIGH, the RNS-E needs a complete reset to detect that change. EIther locking the car for a couple of minutes, pressing RADIO+SETUP until it reboots or saving a value of 1 in channel 111 would do this.
well i did turn the ignition on and off a couple of times, leaving it off for a while but i guess it needed the key to be removed from the ignition... i did try the "radio" & "set-up" combo but maybe i didn't hold them down long enough...

btw you did my emails, right?
No, not recently. Which address did you send them to?
doesn't surprise me as i got a couple of mail delivery delay notifications...

i'm using the "@sbcglobal.com" one...

I told you it would recognize it.....and you doubt my harness-making-ability????? Dam you!!!....just kidding. Enjoy....and please post lots of pix of the install.
