Hi Guys,
New to this forum and need to gather some intel for my potential Project4000S
I have an 85' 4000S, 5spd, 1.8L that was a daily driver in the day and has been in temperature controlled storage for just under 30 years.
Looking at bringing her back to life bigger and better......350-400HP?, automatic trans, suspension, brakes......AWD? in proportion to suit the Mod.
Not my first rodeo, small block Chevy's in early Nova's, but have been out of it for about 30 years......work, career and all that.....retired now.
I do not want to build an "abortion" been there done that but rather a daily driver sedate classy sedan that handles well and can lite up the tires when needed......and takes no shit from "almost" nobody...Ha !
As my wife would say I am looking to squander whatever wealth I have amassed in my years on this rock.
Looking for a reputable engine builder East of the Mississippi who can advise on a painless swap and mod package, likewise for Suspension and Brake builders/suppliers. I have paddled around the internet but if your not wanting 1000HP in a late 90's/early 2000's there does not seem to be much.
Any leads from this Forum would be very much appreciated. Time is of the essence as nobody wants to go 0-60 under 4 sec in a diaper !!
