On the front grill of my 2007 A6 is the license plate panel (which holds the license plate holder).
Is this part easily removable? Does it snap/pry off somehow, or can one only access it by
removing the grill entirely?

Grill removal entails complete removal of the entire front bumper cover (sometimes called the bumper skin),
this I know for certain and I sure would rather not go down that road. I can't find anything on the internet about
removal of this part. Front-end body people, thank you! MP

The panel is easy to remove - there are 2 screws that hold it to the grill on the bottom (one on each end) and it "hangs" on several clips from the top.
I exchanged the panel pictured for one that is not meant for a license plate - very easy. MP
