My car has 90,000 miles on it and has been in excellent condition until a couple of weeks ago. I received a low oil pressure light, so I turned the car off and checked the oil levels as instructed. However, when I turned the car back on the light had vanished. A couple of days later the light came back on, I checked again, and everything was fine. I decided to take it in to this Audi specialists in our town. They could not get the light to show up. They said it was probably a faulty sensor and said they could look at it more in depth the following week. Upon Leaving the garage, the car dies right on the highway. Nothing. Just dead and won't start. Garage towed it and said Cam shaft seized because of oil sludge. Towed it to Audi. Same thing. Oil sludge. I have always kept excellent care of my car, and all of my cars. Have had regular oil changes. In fact I had one three months ago, nothing was mentioned. Anyone else have this issue? I find it ludacris that this is happening with 90,000 miles and perfect maintenance. I also found a class action law suit settlement Audi just settled for this very issue for older models. Please share stories if you have them.
Meanwhile, does anyone know where to find used Audi turbo Engines? Thanks!

Did you get a resolution to this? I am, i fear, going through the same situation. I purchased my 2006 A4 2.0T about 3 months ago with 78,800 miles. Did my first oil change 3 weeks ago. A week later my oil pressure light came on. Checked my oil.. Level fine. Started it up. No more pressure light. Made an appointment to have it checked out, thought it was a faulty sensor. 4 days later oil pressure light went on again. This time it was accompanied by an engine thumping/loud ticking. Pulled it over and had it towed to a mechanic. After learning of this "Issue" with these cars I had to re-towed to my local Audi dealer where all the maintenance was performed by the previous owner. It's setting there now waiting for someone to look at it hopefully this week.
