I wonder if anyone can shine any light on this one

I purchased a 2005 MMI DVD from a German seller on e-bay it’s for Western Europe and my RNS-e is a European version as well. My Nav unit works perfectly on the 2004 DVD.

The 2005 DVD is not a copy and comes in its original box part number 4EO 919 884 N and I can see it is a NAVTEQ DVD as this is properly marked in the centre of the disc on the reverse side so it look a genuine article.

When I put it into my Nav unit I get on my screen “Unknown Filesâ€

I have looked at the DVD on my PC and notice there is only 1.73GB when I look at the disc properties in windows XP the following is the name on the disc EUROPA_0690_1994

Can anyone advise is there something I am not doing correctly as I said above my 2004 disc works no problem.

MMI disks do not work in RNS-E systems

MMI=A8 and latest A6
RNS=A3, A4, A6

What a stupid mistake i have made, teach me to look at this site before I purchase anything again If anyone wants to buy a MMI 2005 disc I know somebody not so far away that has one, yes me
