"17" Coding, for Channel 62

There is some confusion on coding for this.

We have:

1 Radio
2 Telefon
4 Navigation
8 Telematics

The VAG bubble adds:

16 Instrument cluster

So, with Radio, Nav, and telematics I assume I would use 13? I've heard some use 5, 21, etc.

I'm using 15 now (I added for the telefon) but DIS does not work for NAV.

I did have 31, which it did work, but Telematics did not (though I later found telematics had not yet been enabled, I'll try 31 again).

Any help again would be appreicated. Thanks.

5 is radio + nav, in some cars the cluster itself adds 16 which makes it 21. Telefon you'll need only if you have an OEM phone kit. In my case I'm using 29=1+4+8+16 which works fine in my B6 with OnStar but without phone.

Remember, if you have the red DIS you will need to turn the RNS-E briefly off and back on to see the route info in the DIS.

I went back to 31, and everything is working. DIS, Track #, and phone number called. I have the colored DIS, and the compass feature also works.

I'll try 29 as well, just to verify that it works with my setup. Thanks again for yur help, you are tops with the information you provide!
